Monthly Favourites: March

It’s March once again and time for another favourites post.

Books:

C: Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

M: Call Me Athena: Girl From Detroit by Colby Cedar Smith

TV Show:

C: Nothing really stands out to me this month, I’ve kind of been watching little bits of everything, but I think the one that I’ve enjoyed the most, despite only having seen three episodes at this point, is the Celebrity Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off.

M: My favourite show this month without a shadow of a doubt has been Scandal. It is such an easy show to binge and I have enjoyed having it on in the background. I couldn’t resist… who doesn’t love a show made by Shonda Rhimes.

Game:

C: Still been playing Stardew Valley this month, but significantly less. I’ve also played some more Batman Arkham Knight and keep meaning to play more, but trying to complete the Knightmare mode is driving me a little insane.

M: If I’m honest I haven’t played anything this month other than a little bit of GTA.

Album:

C: I started off the month by listening to The Horror and the Wild by The Amazing Devil, which might be my favourite album full stop. I then finished off the month by listening to Dear Wormwood by The Oh Hellos. I’ve also listened to Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youths a lot, I’m a little obsessed with the song.

M: I haven’t listened to anything new this month but I have gone back to my trusty ‘favourites’ playlist on Spotify which has everything I love in it.

Product:

C: Cantu’s hair custard is one of my favourite hair products and it’s been one of those months where I just remember how much I love it.

M:  This is not a new product by any means but the Vaseline Healthy Hands Stronger Nails Hand Cream has become as regular again in my daily routine. Due to all the hand washing and sanitising my hands have been so dry and this seems to be the only things that help at the moment.

Food:

C: At the beginning of the month, it was my birthday and I had a Colin the Caterpillar cake and it tasted even better than I remember it did.

M: My new favourite food item this month has to be the Fibre One cake bars. Whilst trying to make a more conscious effort to eat better these definitely curve my sweet treat cravings.

Place:

C: It’s not all that exciting, but I managed to leave my hometown this month and head into the neighbouring town to visit the opticians. It’s only noteworthy because it’s the first time I’ve left our little village for several months.

M: Now that the weather has been a lot drier I have enjoyed walking the South Downs a lot more without ending up covered head to toe in mud!
