March Round-Up

March is coming to an end and Spring is beginning and whilst we’re both looking forward to some warmer weather, here’s what we loved about the last month.

Book:

C: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid was my favourite book of the month although it did cause me some emotional damage.

M: The Madwoman’s Ball by Victoria Mas has been my favourite read this month. It portrayed an era that’s really fascinated me and for a debut novel I was blown away.

TV Show/Movie:

C: I started off the month by watching Inventing Anna on Netflix and whilst I haven’t finished it, I really enjoyed it. The reason I didn’t finish it was due to Formula One returning and Drive to Survive premiering on Netflix. I binged DtS but for all those debating whether or not to watch, I’m going to say, don’t bother, it was the worst season yet.

M: One of my favourite things I’ve watched recently is a three part BBC drama called Four Lives which is based on a true story.

Music:

C: I’ve listened to a lot of different things this month but have found myself listening to George Ezra whilst studying.

M: I’ve really been loving Mimi Webb this month, especially her song House On Fire.

Highlight of the Month:

This month to celebrate Claire’s birthday we went up to London to do the last remaining Hidden City scavenger hunt which was Sherlock Holmes themed. We’ve enjoyed all three, although we got a bit damp whilst completing this one. You can see our day in pictures here.
