May Round-Up

I think it’s fair to say summer is finally here! May has gone past both excruciatingly slowly and all at once. End of year assessments have been handed in and summer reading has started. So, here are our top things of this month.

Books:

M: Kaleidoscope by Brian Selznick is without a doubt my favourite read of this month. It is definitely a book I’ll be thinking about for a long time to come.

C: It’s a toss-up between Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston and Music and Malice in Hurricane Town by Alex Bell.

TV Show/Film:

M: I have been absolutely loving the ITV series Grace at the moment which are adaptations, starring John Simm, of Peter James’ Roy Grace book series. Being set in and around the area in which I have grown up makes everything seem so much more real.

C: There’s been a lot of motorsports this month and so, I have spent the majority of my weekends glued to the television watching everything from Formula One and their feeder series to DTM to Indycar.

Music:

M: The song I have had on repeat this month is Maybe You’re The Problem by Ava Max.

C: This month I have been listening to angel in realtime. by Gang Of Youths on repeat. I started off listening to it as good background music for finishing my assessment but it soon ended up being something I played no matter what I was doing.
