Divorced, Beheaded, Died… The History of Britain’s Kings and Queens in Bite-Sized Chunks ~ Kevin Flude

I purchased this book from their bookshop during a recent trip to the British Museum in London. I have always been fascinated by kings and queens and this seemed like the perfect book to delve a little deeper into the monarchs that I did not know much about. Whilst also in a desperate hope that this quick read would bring me out of the awful reading slump I have been in over the last month. I really enjoyed how fast-paced this book was and although it contained a lot of information, it did not feel like an overload. The mini-chapters on each monarch were just enough to gain a good understanding of who they were and what they achieved, or didn’t in some cases, during their reign. I gave this read by Kevin Flude a 4 ⭐️ rating and I am intrigued to read some of his other books.
