Saga Vol 1 ~ Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples

After recently binge reading the entire Paper Girls series by Brian K. Vaughan and having a lengthy discussion with a friend at work who didn’t realise I liked graphic novels, he highly recommended that I start the Saga series which is also written by Vaughan. He was so adamant that I should read Saga next as it is his favourite series that he let me borrow his copy along with a few others he thought I would enjoy. 

I delved into the weirdly wicked world of Vaughan’s writing again for a second time and to say I was instantly hooked would be an understatement. The way in which he builds both the characters and the ever changing worlds around them is just fantastic. Working alongside the incredible artist Fiona Staples the story just comes to life on the pages in front of you. I never realised just how much can be conveyed by images and very minimal text. 

I gave Saga Vol 1 a 4 ⭐️ rating and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
