Our Top 5 Games

This week we thought we would focus on another passion of ours beside reading which is games. Any sort of game thats gets the cogs turning in the brain is a winner for us! Below are five of our favourite games thats can be played at any occasion.

Banagrams:

Addictively simple, and simply addictive, BANANAGRAMS is the fast and frantic word game enjoyed by millions! Players and their opponents aim to use all of their letters to build a word grid in a race to the finish. The first player to use all of their tiles is crowned “Top Banana”! BANANAGRAMS requires no pencil, paper, or board, and comes in a small portable banana-shaped pouch that’s perfect for ages 7 and up —at home or on the go.

Obama Llama 2:

Players must try their best to describe rhymes to their team by either acting them out, reading a riddle, or attempting to explain them in their own words with your team shouting out as many as they can in 30 seconds time. From “Severus Snape choking on a grape” to “Uranium playing Cranium” to “A T-Rex mixing on the decks”, the party game will get the family shouting out ridiculous rhymes in no time. Great for players aged 14+.

Dobble:

A clever game with 55 cards, 57 symbols in total, and 8 symbols per card. Each two cards have one symbol in common, that you have to find and name to win! In total, discover 5 mini games and challenges to play together. Dobble is a game that encourages concentration and observation. Perfect for all the family, but suggested for those 6 and over.

Exploding Kittens:

Exploding Kittens is a highly strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette. Basically, if you draw an Exploding Kitten, you lose and you are full of loser sad-sauce. All the other cards in the deck help you avoid or mitigate your risk of drawing an Exploding Kitten. If you don’t explode, YOU WIN! Congratulations, you are full of greatness! Family-friendly party game for 2-5 players (up to 9 players if you combine 2 decks).

Skip-Bo:

Skip-Bo is the ultimate sequencing card game from the makers of UNO! Players use skill and strategy to create stacks of sequentially numbered, ascending cards (2,3,4…) until they have no more left to play. Once everyone is dealt their own personal stockpile of cards, play begins by drawing from a central pile and building up to four “build” piles. The Skip-Bo “wild” cards break up static situations and may be played as any number. Use these cards wisely, for they can really help you beat your opponents! The first player to deplete all of his or her Skip-Bo stockpile cards is the winner!
