February Round-Up

February has come to an end and we’ve finished the month on a bit of a down, personally as well as in regard to world events. Still, we’re going to look at the positives that have happened this month and let you know what we’ve loved.

Book:

C: The next book in the Adventures on Trains book came out this month and is my most highly anticipated book of the first few months of the year. And Sabotage on the Solar Express delivered.

M: My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell. February hasn’t been a very good reading month for me, however, I found listening to an audiobook keeps me engaged far longer than a physical book at the moment. I loved how beautifully raw this book was.

TV/Movie:

C: One of Us is Lying is finally available to watch on Netflix for those of us in the UK, so I’ve been watching that. I’ve just finished the series and kind of want to read the book again before making a decision on what I thought. On top of that, due to storm Eunice, I joined half the UK in watching planes land at Heathrow which was surprisingly entertaining.

M: I have massively fallen back in love with Grey’s Anatomy. I had previously seen seasons 1-10 but never carried on so have started from the beginning again.

Music:

C: I’ve found myself listening to a lot of AJR recently in various different playlists. I think I’ve listened to almost all of their songs without going to their page!

M: Nothing music-wise jumps out as something I have listened to more than others. However, I have been enthralled by the audiobook for Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell.

Highlight of the Month:

This month, we went to see a show at a local theatre. Every other year, a group of local performers get together and put on a show featuring songs from a variety of musicals in order to raise money for Children In Need. This is the third show we’ve been to see together and as always, was a great night out.
