Verity ~ Colleen Hoover

I recently lost my Colleen Hoover virginity and to say it was an experience is an understatement. I had seen so much hype for this book over on TikTok and out of all of her books it was the one that sounded the most up my street.

Verity follows a struggling author named Lowen Ashleigh who has just lost her mother and is on the brink of financial ruin. Out of the blue she gets given the opportunity of a lifetime by the husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford. Lowen is hired to write the remaining novels in Verity’s series after she has suffered a fatal accident. However when rummaging through her life and office she uncovers some dark truths that should definitely stay buried.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and I honestly didn’t want to put it down. However there were definitely parts that were quite graphic that I had to stop reading to fully digest what was happening. I think it would be a good idea to look at the trigger warnings for this book before reading as certain chapters definitely required a strong stomach.

I loved how throughout Hoover had me constantly second guessing myself and my own theories. This is one of the only reads that afterwards I still couldn’t tell you who the actual baddie was and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this book since I finished it.

I gave Verity by Colleen Hoover a 4.5⭐️ review and am very intrigued to read the rest of her books.
