This Lie Will Kill You ~ Chelsea Pitcher

After rather a slow reading month for me I finally managed to finish another book. This Lie Will Kill Me sounded right up my street and the description was the main reason why I downloaded it on my kindle. Think One of Us Is Lying meets Pretty Little Liars.

At a party, someone sadly died. One year later the five teens involved still haven’t told the truth. Not until tonight. Tonight the five arrive at a hilltop mansion with the promise of a contest to win a $50,000 scholarship. Surely some things are just too good to be true. Realising too late that they’ve been lured by someone hell-bent on revenge. Will all five survive the night or will their lies destroy them all?

The premise of this book is fantastic and sounds like the kind of book I love to read. However, it was just very poorly executed. I had no feelings toward any of the very two dimensional characters and didn’t really care what happened to them. I will say that the first few chapters once they arrive at the mansion were very creepy and written well. But it just went downhill from there.

I gave This Lie Will Kill You a 2⭐️ rating, my lowest star rating of the year so far.
