Monthly Favourites: February

February has flown by and here we are going through another monthly round-up of what we have been loving.

Book:

C: American Gods by Neil Gaiman

M: Five Midnights by Ann Dàvila Cardinal

Tv Show:

C: I’ve watched a lot more tv this month than last but I think I have to say my favourite of this month has been WandaVision. I am hooked and the song from the end of episode seven was stuck in my head for an entire week!

M: As an avid lover of anything crime related I have been on the hunt for a new tv show to watch. My other half and I this month have watched Line of Duty and Marcella. Both of which are crime/detective dramas and are equally brilliant. I would highly recommend either if you haven’t seen them already and want something new to watch.

Game:

C: I’m still playing Stardew Valley, but this month I’ve been playing Co-op with my sister who’s at university, so that’s been nice.

M: I have massively gotten back into playing GTA V over the last month. It is a game I have always loved but just hadn’t played a lot of, until recently. It a great game to play online, especially with family that you may not have seen in a while.

Album:

C: The Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack has been on a lot in the background for me, I find it very helpful when I’m trying to stay focused when writing essays.

M: Music wise I haven’t really been listening to anything different than last month. But I have been loving podcasts again at the moment. My favourite being Shagged, Married, Annoyed who have just started releasing new episodes again after having a baby.

Product:

C: Asda’s own Tea Tree Moisturiser has been a lifesaver this month. My acne is a lot more manageable since I’ve added this to my skin-care routine.

M: Having always struggled with very dry skin and Eczema, it can be hard to find shower/bath products that help alleviate rather than making the situation worse. However, I have started using Sanex Advanced AtopiCare Bath & Shower Oil which has worked wonders and smells amazing.

Food:

C: As boring as it sounds, I’ve been really enjoying porridge this month. I’ve been trying to get into the habit of eating breakfast and I’ve been having porridge. It’s been great because you can put whatever you want in it. I’ve had strawberry, raspberry, apple and cinnamon, banana and honey porridge over the last couple of weeks.

M: Nothing specific really springs to mind but February has been a month full of me getting my eating/diet under control. Just really enjoying trying to be healthier and have loved being more motivated when it comes to food/cooking.

Place You’ve Been:

C: Still haven’t managed to go to too many places this month which means I have frequented the beach quite a bit again. But, I think I’m going to put my answer as the south downs because when I walked up there it was snowing and looking over the local area when it was covered in snow was a little magical (and cold).

M: Obviously still haven’t been anywhere new, but enjoying going for a walk everyday day. It has definitely benefitted my mental health and has made my days much more productive.
