HOW
Multiple blows to the head with a hammer then insertion of a vodka bottle in the skull.
WHY
His aim was to kill 64 people, the number of squares on a chessboard.
NOW
Convicted in 2007 of 49 murders plus 3 attempted murders. Sentenced to life in prison with the first 15 years in solitary confinement at the Arctic Penal Colony ‘Polar Owl’.
